Fall-Prevention and Mobility Training

Empowering Seniors to Move with Confidence and Live with Joy

We work one-on-one in-home with seniors to create and implement customized mobility training and fall-prevention exercise.

Falls are a leading health risk for seniors, often triggering a cascade of challenges—injuries, reduced mobility, and a loss of independence. Falling is also a major contributor to declining health and increased mortality within months. Preventing falls isn’t just about avoiding accidents; it’s about safeguarding confidence, independence, and quality of life.

Our process begins with an assessment to evaluate current mobility, health concerns, and overall wellness objectives. From there, we develop a plan of exercises to build balance, strength, and flexibility, addressing the key factors that lead to falls. Strengthening the core and legs provides stability, while improving coordination and flexibility keeps seniors mobile and aware of their movements.

We work to ensure that the exercises are effective, safe, and consistent. Just as important, these visits offer meaningful companionship, providing seniors with social connection alongside physical care. A familiar, friendly face transforms a session into more than exercise—it becomes an anchor for both well-being and joy. Our fall-prevention program is about more than avoiding injuries and making gains in strength; it’s about giving seniors holistic support to live fully, joyfully, and independently.

Nutritionist

Anastasia Fazal, founder of Luminous Raw and Luminous Collective leverages her personal health journey of recovering from rheumatoid arthritis at age 26. She has the knowledge and capacity to support the elderly in transforming their health through nutrition. After overcoming numerous health challenges through holistic practices, Anastasia became a certified plant-based nutritionist, detoxification expert, and yoga teacher. She uses her expertise in raw food, juicing, and holistic health to help people of all ages improve their well-being. Anastasia’s approach includes personalized nutrition plans, detoxification programs, and creative therapies such as art and yoga, fostering both physical health and emotional well-being for the elderly.

Recent research has suggested that Alzheimer’s disease, a common form of dementia, might be considered a “Type 3 Diabetes” due to the way insulin resistance affects the brain. This hypothesis stems from observations that insulin signaling in the brain plays a crucial role in cognitive function, and its disruption can lead to neurodegeneration.

Anastasia emphasizes the importance of diet and nutrition in preventing and potentially recovering from dementia. By reducing sugar intake, incorporating healthy fats like omega-3 fatty acids, and consuming antioxidant-rich foods, she supports brain health. She also advocates for a diet rich in whole foods, lean proteins, and healthy fats to support overall metabolic health. Regular meals help maintain stable blood sugar levels, reducing the risk of insulin resistance. Anastasia’s holistic approach aims to mitigate the risks associated with insulin resistance, offering protective benefits against dementia through a balanced and nutritious diet.

Our Vision for a Retreat Center

We hold close to our hearts our vision to one day live in ecologically designed homes, living sustainably in comfort, surrounded by a flourishing food forest, serene flower gardens, and labyrinth for walking, contemplation, and prayer. A central community gathering space will foster connection and learning, while meditative areas provide tranquil sanctuaries for personal reflection.

Here at this retreat, we envision providing clients with cutting-edge technologies such as PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field), Red Light therapies, and nutritional care with options for alkaline diet and allergen-free living, offering complementary healing modalities to enhance vitality and well-being for clients of all ages. Our services will also provide luxurious massage and detox treatments, creating a haven of relaxation and rejuvenation.

If the legalities unfold as we hope they will, we hope to offer psychedelic healing ceremonies in alignment with Proposition 122, which legalizes natural psychedelic substances for community healing and therapeutic environments.
