On our 11/24/2024 Day of Healing, practitioners offered the various modalities which are covered below. On the Day of Healing, we strengthen our bonds through providing experiences with multiple modalities you may have heard of but not gotten the chance to try! Alongside live music, friendly conversation, and good eats, we aim to give you tools to elevate your health and address your personal concerns. Schedule

1:44pm – Doors open, and guests welcome! Snacks and light lunch options available.

2:00pm – Meet & Greet, plus first modality sessions begin (Sign-Up Below!) We present also an opportunity to play acoustic or lightly amped music, for those wishing to practice their musical crafts openly to a crowd. 

4:00pm – Emmy will share an informative and helpful story of recovery. 1 in 8 individuals are suffering from a thyroid issue. We will cover:  an overview of the doctor-pharmaceutical-insurance company trifecta that keeps patients from learning about alternative and natural healing methods; the role and effects of hormones in the body and an overview of the endocrine system; symptoms of thyroid dysfunction and mainstream treatment options (pros and cons); and finally, the Health Recovery Protocol that thousands have followed to recover their health! 

5:00pm – Vegetarian Dinner Served. Potluck contributions are welcome and may contribute as ‘trade’ payment based on ingredient cost + prep time.)

7:00pm – “Open Mic Moment” music, poetry, jokes, and stories

8:00pm – KIrtan and/or Sound Healing service, or a sound-tuning service if you’re headed out early. Please let the host/hostess know if you’re leaving early so we can bless you up and out!

 

Modalities

Ionic Foot Bath Detox

The ionic foot bath detox involves immersing your feet in ionized water, which helps draw toxins from your body. Through a gentle electrical current, the water’s negative ions are believed to bind with positively charged toxins, assisting with their elimination. Benefits include improved circulation, reduced inflammation, and overall energy balance. It’s a popular wellness service for relaxation and detoxification. A typical starter session for an ionic foot bath detox is 20–30 minutes. Most practitioners recommend starting at this duration to allow your body to acclimate to the detoxification process, as longer sessions can sometimes lead to mild side effects like dizziness or nausea for first-timers, which is a sign of detoxing that suggests that it really works! Not recommended for pregnant or nursing individuals, people with pacemakers, or those with open wounds on their feet. Offerings are usually $45 per session, we suggest a donation from $5-45 for this event!

PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) Therapy Mat

PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy uses low-frequency electromagnetic waves to recharge cells, improving their function and supporting natural healing. This process has several key benefits. Pain Relief and Inflammation through improving ion channel function, it’s particularly useful for arthritis and chronic pain relief.  PEMF is an FDA-approved for certain bone healing treatments. It is widely used in sports medicine for faster muscle and tissue recovery after injury. The therapy enhances blood flow and oxygenation, supporting nutrient delivery and waste removal to promote healing. EMF therapy has also shown promise in reducing stress, improving sleep, and positively impacting mood by influencing neurotransmitter levels. Though safe for most, individuals with pacemakers or metal implants should avoid PEMF therapy. Infrared Sauna Mat 

An infrared sauna mat provides a sauna-like experience without the high temperatures, using infrared heat to penetrate deeply into the body. Detoxification is a primary benefit, as infrared heat induces sweating, helping the body release heavy metals, environmental toxins, and metabolic waste more effectively than traditional saunas. Pain relief is another well-documented advantage, with infrared heat shown to alleviate muscle soreness, joint stiffness, and chronic pain by improving circulation and reducing inflammation. Additionally, infrared mats support improved circulation and cardiovascular health; studies indicate that regular use may lead to better blood flow, potentially reducing blood pressure and benefiting heart health. Stress reduction and enhanced mood are further benefits, as infrared heat helps the body release endorphins and reduce cortisol levels, promoting relaxation and better sleep. These benefits make infrared sauna mats a valuable tool for physical and mental well-being.

Contraindicated for people with heat sensitivity, certain cardiovascular issues, and pregnant individuals. Each session, usually around 30–40 minutes, can help increase overall vitality and aid in stress management. Usually $30 per session, we suggest a donation of $5-30 for your session at the event.

BrainTap Meditation (Guided Neurofeedback)

BrainTap meditation is a cutting-edge brainwave entrainment technology that combines guided visualization, binaural beats, and light therapy to help users enter deeply restorative states of relaxation. By using specific frequencies of light and sound, BrainTap synchronizes brainwave patterns to support a variety of mental and physical health benefits. One of the key benefits is stress reduction, as the modality promotes relaxation and reduces cortisol levels, helping the body shift into a state of calm. This leads to a reduction in chronic stress and an overall sense of well-being. For best results, many practitioners recommend regular sessions, but even a single session can provide noticeable benefits for relaxation and rejuvenation.

Not suitable for individuals with epilepsy or severe mental health conditions, as it may overstimulate or trigger seizures​. Usually $50 per session, we suggest a donation of $10-50 for your session at the event.

Massage Therapy

Massage therapy, offered by Mariela, a certified physical therapist and massage therapist, provides a wide range of physical and mental health benefits. One of the primary benefits is stress reduction, as massage helps activate the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting relaxation and reducing cortisol levels, which are associated with stress and anxiety. Additionally, massage is highly effective for pain relief; it can reduce muscle tension, alleviate chronic pain conditions like back pain or migraines, and promote recovery after physical activity by improving blood circulation and oxygenating tissues. Improved flexibility and range of motion are also common benefits, as massage helps stretch and lengthen tight muscles, enhancing mobility. Regular massage can also support better sleep quality by promoting relaxation and reducing discomfort that might otherwise interfere with rest. Moreover, massage boosts overall circulation, improving the delivery of nutrients and oxygen to tissues while removing metabolic waste products, which supports healing and recovery. With Mariela’s combined expertise in physical therapy and massage therapy, clients can expect a holistic approach to achieving both physical and mental well-being.

  • Non-Violent (compassionate) communication workshop and practice, Authentic Relating Games, and evolving through challenges of relating.

This workshop is an opportunity to learn and practice Non-Violent Communication protocols, and get practice identifying underlying feelings that point to fundamental needs. It seems straightforward, but it’s a revolutionary communication upgrade for your relationships. Receive empathy like you’ve never experienced before. Play some “Authentic Relating” games, where you connect beyond superificialities, through reflective listening, practicing vulnerabilities and honesty. 

  • Mystics across Time, Space, and Traditions

Exploring how mystics from different traditions and eras achieved spiritual breakthroughs. What all religion have in common. Teachings of yogis, shamans, sages, saints, and mystics. Tools they used, from fasting and meditation to entheogens. How these practices remain relevant today.

  • Healing Society through Permaculture & Strengthening Local Community

Celebrating the Earth as a source of spiritual and physical sustenance while discussing permaculture principles. Transforming urban spaces into natural havens. How we are building a compassionate, spiritually minded, eco-conscious community. Workshop on small-scale permaculture techniques.
