Emmy has been immersed in music since childhood, learning to read and play classical pieces at a young age. In her later years she discovered the joy of jamming with others and honed her ability to collaborate. Emmy’s teaches piano and voice, with a particular love for helping students play the songs they adore. Her favorite approach to teaching focuses on hands-on learning through chord progressions, song structure, and self-expression. Students learn notation and reading music through a gentle and natural progression using a tailored approach.
Emmy blends musical theory essentials with creativity and fun, ensuring her students retain their passion for music. Ryan has spent over a decade mastering the guitar, developing an incredible ear for sound and an ability to express dynamics with precision and emotion. In recent years, he has expanded his expertise to include the ukulele, shakers, and Persian sitar, further enriching his versatility as a musician. Ryan’s natural talent for hearing nuances in music and his deep understanding of technique allow him to guide students in discovering their own musical expression.
Ryan’s approach focuses on diving right into the art of making music, bypassing overly rigid processes to ensure students feel the reward of creativity from the start. Whether it’s helping a beginner strum their first chord or encouraging a seasoned player to explore new instruments or technique, Ryan creates an environment where music feels intuitive, accessible, and exciting.
Pricing structure
The rate for music lessons is $30 per half hour. To make it accessible to all, we can do semi-private, group lessons, or offer my time on a sliding scale of what seems achievable for you. Some trade options are available: Payment options can be explored and accepted here.
